Vintage: Long Fur Coat

Finally I get to post my most prescious find EVAH!!!  This gorgeous beauty was tucked away in a thrift store in Paris that I just walked into on a whim.  Within seconds of walking through the doors I glanced toward the back of the store and immediately thought "OMG, CARRIE BRADSHAW!".  Then to my heart melting amazement, it fit me perfectly.  I swear it was is meant for me, ME, MEEEE!!!!  (and maybe Sarah Jessica Parker Carrie Bradshaw)
Mark my words... 1st snow fall of the year I will be recreating this look.  I've never wanted it to snow so badly in my life... not even as a kid.
Follow so you don't miss ;o)

The Unlikely Purchase

I'm not entirely sure what prompted me to purchase this skirt.  It is completely out of my box!  The length alone typically doesn't compliment my height, the material was questionable at first touch but the gorgeous bright color caught my attention.  I was at a local vintage shop and thought... "aaw what the heck, take your own advice and just try it!!!" I think it's pretty obvious where the story ends.  I mean, what else could I possibly wear while strolling on a deserted train track?
I have to say... pairing this lovely vintage skirt with a basic white T and riding boots gives it a bohemian feel.  Then the necklace and leopard print belt keeps it modern and wearable.
I absolutely love mixing old and new!!!

Fur the love of Vintage

OH*MAH*GAH
would have been the exact words to come out of my mouth if I wasn't completely speechless when I locked eyes to fur.  Seriously!  This is the second time in 7 months I spotted a vintage fur at an affordable price!  Maybe I have magic powers?  What??? It's possible!  The first lucky occasion was on a trip to Paris and as soon as it's a teensy bit colder outside, I will be sharing the lovely dah-ling with you.  This particular beauty I discovered at Hong Kong Recycle and Vintage.  I'm completely loving the lapel collar, knee length, double breasted, gold buttons, silky lining and soft as a baby's bottom fur, not implying baby's have furry bottoms.. but babies are soft... you get the idea ;o)

EZ Breezy

If you weren't sure... the shorts truly are the star of this outfit. The detail is absolutely AHHH-Mazing!!! The shoes were (believe it or not) once leopard print. I was about to gift them to Goodwill, when I saw this post from a Pair and a Spare and thought I would take the challenge on myself. I love all things sparkly/glittery and the project was fun buuuut I left a glitter trail from my house to my car and back. I need to figure out how to seal them without losing the texture. Hmmmm???

***on another note, the booties I glittered are HOT HOT HOT... coming soon to a post near you :):):)***

Now back to your scheduled programing "EZ BREEZY"

Dandelions... Familiar??? I'm sure you are. Well... while having fun taking the above pics, I spotted said dandelions and decided to pick one up and gently blow on it (like they would in a commercial).

Still no luck!!! The results were not commercial-like at all...full cheeks, bulging eyes and... AAAND flower is still intact!!! This dandelion is not EZ nor Breezy... hmmph!!!
