Booties and Graffiti

Feelin' pretty bad-ass in this outfit.  I've got my rocker Beatles t-shirt, boyfriend blazer, ripped denim, studded booties, aviator sunnies and a mean wrist soiree (The Man Repeller already pattened "Arm Party" and since I didn't ask her permission before this post, it didn't feel right to use her phrase).
The word bracelets just seems so blasé now.

ARM PARTY would be sooo much more fitting than WRIST SOIREE with this outfit though... Whaddaya say Leandra???  (batting my eyelashes over here)

The Unlikely Purchase

I'm not entirely sure what prompted me to purchase this skirt.  It is completely out of my box!  The length alone typically doesn't compliment my height, the material was questionable at first touch but the gorgeous bright color caught my attention.  I was at a local vintage shop and thought... "aaw what the heck, take your own advice and just try it!!!" I think it's pretty obvious where the story ends.  I mean, what else could I possibly wear while strolling on a deserted train track?
I have to say... pairing this lovely vintage skirt with a basic white T and riding boots gives it a bohemian feel.  Then the necklace and leopard print belt keeps it modern and wearable.
I absolutely love mixing old and new!!!

I'll take it

This year's winter has been considerably mild and I'll take it.  Growing in up in Maine, I know all about a harsh winter which is exactly why I moved to North Carolina.  There's a huge difference between a few layers of clothes versus bundling up and I'm partial to the former.  As far as I'm concerned, if I'm not geared up to ski then I don't even want to see a speckle of snow!  The whole scraping windows and shoveling the driveway thing... uh "no thanks"!  I think I'll just continue to kick the leaves in lieu of building a snowman... gladly :)

Fur the love of Vintage

OH*MAH*GAH
would have been the exact words to come out of my mouth if I wasn't completely speechless when I locked eyes to fur.  Seriously!  This is the second time in 7 months I spotted a vintage fur at an affordable price!  Maybe I have magic powers?  What??? It's possible!  The first lucky occasion was on a trip to Paris and as soon as it's a teensy bit colder outside, I will be sharing the lovely dah-ling with you.  This particular beauty I discovered at Hong Kong Recycle and Vintage.  I'm completely loving the lapel collar, knee length, double breasted, gold buttons, silky lining and soft as a baby's bottom fur, not implying baby's have furry bottoms.. but babies are soft... you get the idea ;o)

Basic... Sexy... Lady

Throw on a light weight wool v-neck sweater pulled over a basic shift dress and I'm almost ready for a day at the office.  Now it's time to personalize this ensemble.  Sexify it up a wee bit with mini fishnet stockings and corset style heels.  Finally a lady-like touch, add a black beaded necklace with a flower brooch.  Sha-zam! This outfit has been Shannon "APPROVED".  You may go to work now.

Print-zophrenia

I've been getting quite a bit of wear out of these leopard print skinnies from Forever 21.  Apparently the print has become a neutral in my eyes because I have now mixed with floral in today's post and stripes seen here.  Call me "crazy" but I think they pair well together.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Recently we were asked to bring a baby photo to work to play the guessing game.  I'm happy to say(and maybe a little smug) but I got everyone right.   This first photo below is the one I brought in, my 1st Birthday.  Thought it be fun to share a few pics of me over the years.
Reminiscing is so much fun!

Hope you enjoyed.  Off to make new memories tonight!
