Colors of Love

Pink and red are the colors of love, so playful and sweet!  Why wouldn't you want to pair them together?  I love the ease of a boyfriend sweater and the fact that it's such a bright/florecsent pink makes it that much more appealing.  You know I bought these shoes last february and this is the first time I'm wearing them.  What has taken me so long?!?!?!?  The side bow is to die for!  Loving the suede as oppose to leather on this shoe which gives it a much softer feel (literally and figuratively).  Rest assured, it will not take me another 10 months before I wear these pretty little ladies again!

Loose sweater, skinny jeans and heels...  this overall look is my go to for casual on the weekends.

Shoe of the Week - Walter Seiger

Time to kick off with a shoe of the week
I'm not sure a basic pump could be anymore visually pleasing than this Walter Steiger Suede Pump.  The bold color is rich and stunning, the curved heel dramatic and the  round toe feminine all while sitting pretty on the vixen-like platform, it's really all too much for my fashion senses to handle.
MUST!  BUY!  SHOE!

Dear Mr. Steiger,

Unfortunately, I can't buy you right now.  They say if you love something to let it go and if it was meant to be they will come back.  I'm hoping this also applies to shoes.  I am letting  you go for now, and dream of the day I will see you in my future.

Sincerely Yours,
Shannon Martin

For you lucky little dolls that don't need to wait... you can find the gorgeous pumps here.

Seven

Denim by Seven for all Mankind were the first "premium" denim I ever purchased.  I've tried quite a few brands over the years but Seven's always fit amazing.  This trouser cut pair are a staple in my closet and will remain so due to the longest leg line ever.  Something about this shot makes me feel "Alice in Wonderland".  Is it the short ceiling... heels... long wide leg denim... Kimmy's angle... or did I really just grow??? It's gotta be the Seven's that are making me look so tall, right!

Fall Back

I never get use to the clock going back.  I get it.. sorta.. but I don't like it :-/

I usually get out of work at a decent hour... but seriously.. by the time I unbutton my jacket, adjust the strap on my shoe... it's already street lights on!  Damn you daylight savings time!  Damn you!

Gone With the Wind

These pics were taken just 3 short weeks ago and man, has the weather changed.  Don't believe I will be rolling outside without sleeves any time soon. However, I couldn't NOT post them because we had so much fun taking them.  I oddly love the shapless-ness of the dress.  The tie straps are adorable and the ruffles... ahhhh the ruffles are my favorite because they embody all things girly!  The warm breeze kept fluffing my ruffles, flirting my skirt, twisting and turning my tiers.  You get where I'm going with this... and if not, you will in a second.

But alas, Old Man Winter is creeping in and the jacket must go on.

Meet the New Ann Taylor

Ann Taylor is not the woman you thought she was!  In the past, I've always considered Ann Taylor more of a reserved, conservative, "twinset-wearing" woman.  Well not anymore my friends.  Ann (that's right... we're on a first name basis these days) is fun and hip (are the kids even using this term anymore, ha!) and she's stylishly professional at the office.  I really like the New, Improved, Modern Ann Taylor.  It's no wonder they sought out Demi Moore as their spokes model.  She is Ann Taylor.  I went to the Grand Re-Opening of their Concept Store in Durham this past Saturday.  They had a DJ spinning music and served up sweets and champagne.  Check out some of the unexpected pieces I found.

The coconut was to die for... mmm...

Love, Love, Loved this jacket.  The collar felt so luxurious.
I very badly wanted to take this home but didn't :o/

This sequin skirt was sooo gorge in person, again... I wanted to take home.
Unfortunately, not my size :o/

O. M.G.  You can't tell so much in this pic but the sweater is more of a cream and silver thread.  Perfect for a winterly look... It felt suuuper cozy, it actually made me want to cuddle up with a special someone.  So, I took it home :o)

Feather Tank!
Feather Tank!!!
Do I need to say more???

No, I don't... but I will.  This was the first piece I saw when I walked through the doors making a bee-line to the table.  It was almost like floating through air following the scent of fashion... you know.. like in a cartoon.  I couldn't help myself.  I still can't believe the following sentence...
I bought a feather tank at Ann Taylor.

Hello crystal studded boots... Do you walk around here much?

Never in my wildest, most vivid dreams could I eeever imagine cobalt blue wedges made with calf hair at Ann freakin' Taylor!

Leather Lace up booties that Angelina Jolie could kick ass in... or I guess we have to say Demi Moore's character from Charlie's Angels.  She was pretty bad ass too!

Basic Structured bag but this color... it's simply amazing!

Thanks for Reading Dolls! xoxo
